Millie’s Cookies Recipe

Oh boy, do I love cookies!!! Big one’s, small one’s, fat one’s, slim one’s, brown one’s, white one’s, the list goes on and on. Now growing up, Millie’s was like my local Disney land, they were the best. Unfortunately at some point in the past 4 years, Millie’s has decided to f us over, they have decided for some inexplicable reason decided to shrink their cookies, like wtf, why? And to really take the cookie they haven’t even dropped the price so I’m sorry Millie you have seriously just destroyed my entire cookie heaven. For that I have made my own

Recipe below…

125g butter, softened

100g light brown soft sugar

125g caster sugar

1 egg, lightly beaten

1 tsp vanilla extract

225g self-raising flour

½ tsp salt

200g chocolate chips

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C, gas mark 4.

2. Cream butter and sugars, once creamed, combine in the egg and vanilla.

3. Sift in the flour and salt, then the chocolate chips.

4. Roll into walnut size balls, for a more homemade look, or roll into a long, thick sausage shape and slice to make neater looking cookies.

5. Place on ungreased baking paper. If you want to have the real Millies experience then bake for just 7 minutes, till the cookies are just setting – the cookies will be really doughy and delicious. Otherwise cook for 10 minutes until just golden round the edges.

6. Take out of the oven and leave to harden for a minute before transferring to a wire cooling rack.

Not sure where credit is due, it’s a recipe I’ve seen floating around a few sites but these are delicious and resemble Millie’s beautifully.

American snackeroos

So my local pound shop or pound land not sure which one it is, has this very awesome American section, now I remember a time when us Brits only heard the word ‘twinky’ on our TV sets, then one day you see them in Tesco for £10 a pack!

Not anymore, now you can just go to pound land shop and buy it all for a pound, amazing. Anyway today I discovered these American peanut butter treats, two completely different treats actually, one made by nestle and the other by some company I can’t remember, but the latter is not important because they taste like crap, but the nestle butterfingers bites treats were a delicious treat, nomz.

Not A Lot

Ok so my life is pretty boring and for that reason only I shouldn’t have a blog as this just highlights how boring my life really is. Sure maybe it’s good to have a blog during your boring life just so If your life suddenly gets interesting then you will see this awesome transition all wrapped nicely in your little boring blog.

So as my life is so boring here is another boring blog post highlighting my boring life, enjoy.

So today has been a slow and boring day, not a lot has really happened, a few tantrums, and some other stuff, to be honest I can’t for the life of me remember much from today as if I’ve been in a coma, but I haven’t. Anyway what I do remember is finishing of some honey glazed ribs with potato salad and garlic bread.

We finished this faithful day with some not-so-bloody Blood Orange, I crave a proper blood orange but haven’t yet found it. Oh save me Lord.

Tomorrow we shall play in the snow like true gods.

Good night.

Christmas Day – Day 2 – Part 2

This will be a quick post, as I’m typing this my eye balls are sticking and it’s rather uncomfortable. So basically here is a quick run down of my Xmas day part 2.

As we was sick we didn’t eat Xmas dinner on the Swedish Xmas day so instead we had Xmas dinner on the English Xmas day, the usual 25th for most other countries. Now it was rather stressed and we forgot or left out certain things from the dish but all in all it came out rather delicious.

Not a lot to add really, it’s been a good Xmas but shadowed with bad luck due to the sicknesses, and it’s still ongoing. But from today Xmas is over for me.

Now it’s time to sleep, or at least try.
